Last year at this time we were working to build the garden fence at school, beginning in the evening when it had cooled down a bit and working until dark, using flashlights to pick up the tools etc. Now the garden is thriving with flowers and vegetables! Those are sunflowers that are about 8 feet tall, and pumpkins are trying to dominate the remaining part of the garden.

This pumpkin, about the size of a small watermelon, was started from a seed.
This is a Zinnia also started from seeds.
Here are some of the "fruits of our labor."
Seeing everything growing so well has made it all worth it! The students won't believe how it's grown when we get back to school in about a month.
I can't believe the watermelon!!!!
