Nothing But Trouble!

I know this dog looks like a sweet little Beagle who would never be any trouble, but that is not the case! She's really nothing but TROUBLE!
First it was the Brown Recluse bite that sent her to the vet with an overnight visit and a pricey bill for her stay.
Next was the dead rat that she ate, which again required x-rays, meds and another pricy vet bill.
The day before Thanksgiving she started having seizures $400 later it's determined that she has Epilepsy, a condition that will require regular blood tests and medication every 12 hours for the rest of her life.
Last week she got Shari's chocolate advent calendar and consumed all the chocolates that were left. We decided to let her work through her problem. She came through it just fine.
On Sunday we made a couple batches of our coveted Christmas Toffee, put it behind closed doors to cool..... yep you guessed it.... she got into it and ate at least 1/4 of the batch. (You or I would be sick if we even attempted to eat that much at one time.)
Yesterdayday she got Shari's $10 bill and shredded it. We taped together what we could but there are still some missing pieces. We won't be looking for them.
I went to wrap some gifts this morning and found this! She'd chewed through the toothpaste and the mint dental floss. Guess she was looking to freshen her breath.
Like I said, "She's nothing but TROUBLE!"

Redlands Christmas Parade

We were in the Redlands Christmas Parade this year.
We entered in the "classic car" category.
It was a lot of fun, but pretty chilly.
We've already got ideas to keep us warm next year.

The Happiest Place on Earth

We hadn't been to Disneyland since the girls were 7 & 8, so we made a day of it.
15 hours at Disneyland made it difficult to be on your feet for any amount of time the next day. We did have a great time and some friends met us in the evening and spoiled the girls with Pillow Pets and a yummy dinner.

This picture of "It's a Small World" was especially for Dad, his favorite.

A Better Place

This picture was taken 8 weeks ago when Zeek's parents were here to visit.
It was a great time with fun memories.
Today Royce went home to be with the Lord.
We are so thankful for the week we had and that Zeek and Brandon made it to Kansas to see him yesterday.

My New Ride

Here is my 1970 Blazer that my sweet husband has rebuilt for me.

This weekend the carpet and seats were installed so we took it for it's first test drive.
First stop.... the gas station. It will be a frequent stop with a small block 350.
I couldn't be happier with how it turned out!

Next stop.... the DMV to take it off of non-op.  :)

Good Sports

The girls dressed up with me for our Barnes & Noble "Family Reading Night."
I think it's going to have to become a tradition (although they don't know it yet.)

Lobster Opener!

It was another perfect weekend for the Lobster Opener!

The hoop-netters were ready to go before midnight...

Molly was in the water with everyone at 12:01....

The dive was successful....

Brandon got his share of bugs....
Shari loved holding them all.....

They're ready for round 2...

And once again it was a success....

We did some swimming...

Enjoyed the island....

Watched Brandon put his captain skills into action.....

Played on the ropes after the campers left....

We couldn't have asked for a better weekend...

We're always thankful for our friends at CBS that let us come for the weekend to hunt, play, relax and eat!

Progress

So I had to do a little negotiating to be given permission from my sweet husband to post pictures of my 1970 Blazer that he is restoring for me. He wanted me to wait until it is FINISHED, but what took place today is worth taking a look at...
After many hours of body work....
 It was PAINTED today!
The hard work paid off, it looks awesome!
Thanks Honey, you're the best!

Bear

Molly spotted the bear walking behind our neighbors house, so we grabbed our cameras and went after it for some pictures. Here's his fluffy little backside.
He sat down for the photo shoot,
and seemed to have found something to snack on.
At some point before we saw him he had been in our garage and grabbed a little empty cooler and thrown it out on the driveway. It's always fun to see the bears, they're so cute.

Summer fun in the Mountains

We really do live in a great area and we love to take advantage of what our little place has to offer.
Molly went off to camp at Adventure Mountain for a week.
She and Erin had a great time!
My longest friend, Dawn, came up to play for the day with her two kiddos, Jackson  & Mikaila. We ventured to the tree house...
Went to the lake and did a little kayaking...

And found our way to the Club House for something cold to drink.
It was such a fun day!
My friend Aimee came up with her 5 boys to play in the creek. It's such a great place for kids.
The moms like it too. The running creek is calming and drowns out any rivalries that may break out among 7 children.
Everyone is happy, content, occupied and cool.
Today we got to go for a ride on the horses. Molly rode on Bob, the best horse in the bunch!
Rusty took me on the trail.
Shari got to ride the beautiful and gentle horse, Chief.
These are just some of the things we are privileged to do that are less than 2 miles from our house. We're so thankful for all God has given us.
