Campus by the Sea

We went to Campus by the Sea on Catalina Island for a week of family camp.

We took the Catalina Express form San Pedro directly to Gallagher's Cove in The Island, home of Campus by the Sea.
On the crossing Molly sent a message in a bottle. She's hoping someday it will be found and she'll get a response.

We were greeted by pirates, one of them being Brandon.
We stayed for the week in the first tent closest to the water. I believe we did have some prime real estate.
So... Funny tent story: As you can see there are 4 tents in a line. Well Zeek got up one night to use the restroom at about 3. After successfully finding the restroom in the dark he returned to the tent. When he got to the tent he realized the he had knocked the flap closed. So he proceeded to fiddle with the rope and secure it open once again. As he began to enter the tent he heard a "hello?" to which he quietly responded, "sorry, wrong tent," and returned the tent flap to their desired closed position.

Brandon was part of the waterfront skit which demonstrates the rules to be followed, yes he is coming out of his shell a little.

The afternoon ice cream ritual outside the "Snack Shack"

Campfire, singing and s'mores! mmm..... especially when your put a Reeses Peanutbutter Cup in it. Try it... you'll like it!
Singing the "Butterfly Song"

OTS... Opportunity To Serve! Look at my sweet girls joyfully doing their part.

This was the view from our tent. We loved having the sound of the ocean lull us to sleep at night and quietly wake us in the morning! We can't wait to go back next year and make this our family tradition. God is so great and we are so blessed.

The verse of the week:
Romans 12:2
"Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - His good, pleasing and perfect will."
